HISTORY OF TIMELESS DIVAS!
Timeless Divas! was initiated as a Series featuring the wonderful women over 40 in Cabaret, Theater and Songwriting. The concept was supported by many talented, savvy professionals who lent their names and talent to the Series which also donated a portion of its proceeds to such charities as Gods Love We Deliver, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Phyllis Newman's Womenıs Health Initiative of the Actor's Fund, Dress for Success, United Negro College Fund. The concept became an instant success and soon came the inclusion of DivOs (the marvelous males over 40 ).

It was evident that the show had to progress to an on-going revue and so it has as 'Songs of the Silver Screen'. What better way to celebrate Timelessness than performing the great songs of the Hollywood movies that were sung by the Divas and Divos of the silver screen! But why limit the songs to only the movies when there is such a wealth of beautiful music that is part of the Golden Age of Broadway! And so, ShaRell Productions is currently working on the inclusion of these songs broadening the scope of this already fabulous show. |
